Are you a fan of the Discovery Channel hit show MythBusters? If so, you won't want to miss this! Tickets go on sale May 22 for Behind the Myths - featuring Grant Imahara and Kari Byron, stars of the hit show MythBusters. The event, scheduled for October 3, 2009, is sure to be a big hit with families and science buffs of all ages!

The Discovery Center Auxiliary is bringing Grant and Kari to Rockford as their signature fundraising event.  Sorry, no myths will be busted on stage! The dynamic duo will spend 90 minutes talking about their exploits on the show. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions. And laughs will abound as audience members enjoy never-seen outtakes from the hilarious team of myth busting superheroes.

For those not familiar with the science show, each week the team tackles several myths and uses modern-day science to show you what's real and what's fiction. Through actual demonstrations they explain how something may or may not be scientifically possible.
