RSO: Yaniv Attar's RSO Debut

  • September 9, 2023 - 7:30pm
  • Doors open at 6:30pm
  • Coronado Performing Arts Center

Opening night celebrates Yaniv Attar’s first concert as Music Director! The program opens with “Frenergy”, a short, energetic overture by Canadian composer John Estacio. There is a real sense of celebration in this fantastic overture, whose title combines the words Frantic and Energy, setting the mood for the concert and for the new chapter of the RSO. Joining the orchestra for Beethoven’s beloved Triple Concerto are three terrific soloists, one of whom is our own concertmaster, Michèle Lekas. The program culminates with Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 1, nicknamed Titan!
